Nothing lives forever in the physical world, but the soul is eternal. When a stone soul passes on, its family mourns. Uncountable eons from now, they will meet again in the spirit realm where they are weightless and unbound. For now, the loved one returns to the stony earth beneath an oblivious sky as Chicago sleeps.

After a childhood consumed by dedicated doodling, Suki studied drawing and painting at Kansas City Art Institute, earning a BFA. After graduating, she traveled the world to study Transcendental Meditation and taught the technique for years. Suki also enjoys a creative outlet in the literary arts. In 2014, she won First Place in the Women on Writing Flash Fiction Competition. In 2016, she won First Place in the Faulkner Literary Competition, Poetry Division. She works impulsively with underlying intent - throwing down colors and shapes then conferring with them to see what they want. Is it contrast, harmony, a statement, something absurd?
