Artist's Description
Can you find her? Look up! This was painted just after sending my six-pound calico cat across the rainbow. I was moved by the simple vibrancy of sadness and the many memories of her tiny, important life. She was named after the fire cat, Kilala, who had two tails and rockets in her feet, a character in my favorite anime, Inuyasha. About Suki Michelle
After a childhood consumed by dedicated doodling, Suki studied drawing and painting at Kansas City Art Institute, earning a BFA. So sorry! They are our miniature soulmates. It's like they give us a kick-start in life, then have to go on. Anyway, it's a beautiful tribute.
Suki Michelle replied:
So true, Jean. We know the eventual heartache but it pales in comparison to the love and peace they bring. Tiny deities, right?
