Artist's Description
The art district is always the most colorful spot. Most cities have that place that draws creative people, artists, musicians, actors, and the lively souls that love them and their work. This image was made to remind the viewer that the arts are vital to our culture, always were and shall be. Enjoy the brightness.
About Suki Michelle
After a childhood consumed by dedicated doodling, Suki studied drawing and painting at Kansas City Art Institute, earning a BFA. After graduating, she traveled the world to study Transcendental Meditation and taught the technique for years. Suki also enjoys a creative outlet in the literary arts. In 2014, she won First Place in the Women on Writing Flash Fiction Competition. In 2016, she won First Place in the Faulkner Literary Competition, Poetry Division. She works impulsively with underlying intent - throwing down colors and shapes then conferring with them to see what they want. Is it contrast, harmony, a statement, something absurd?
